The truth is, they perform for our entertainment in their space research circus for not landing hard and dependent on weekly welfare checks

I get the feeling they are clever enough to find other work. They aren’t gender studies or manga majors.

The less principled could start a scam podcast for idiots and teenagers telling us how all science is bought and paid for.

Just looked at Salah’s PL stats ( I think it’s up to date ):

275 appearances

167 goals

75 assists

Outstanding.

Yes.

I find those who don’t are generally motivated by politics. It also found its way onto the hymn sheet of conspiracy theorists who will believe anything they are told.

But it is fact that Trump has 50% of the vote according to the Associated Press. Complain to them if you don’t like it.

The link you previously posted showed the figures before all votes were counted. Ridiculous.

The figures I’ve seen from various sources have Trump at under 50%.

Posted in: After Trump's Project 2025 denials, he is tapping its authors and influencers for key roles See in context

he has 50%. And more importantly your team only has 48.4%

Has he? I was under the impression he fell short of 50%.

Can you post a source to correct my misunderstanding?

Cheers.

I always got the feeling Trump isn’t particularly interested in policies - he’s too lazy to get into details and I doubt he’s ever done any homework in his life. He’s more at home at rallies and on social media - pretty good at it too.

In decision making, I remember a description of Trump as like a couch - he bears the impression of the last person who sat on him.

The people around him are vital given his laziness.

Liverpool not at their best there but got the job done. The errors for Liverpool’s first goal were comical.

Salah’s consistency is ridiculously high.

British RP and standard US English are boring and colourless.

Anything is better than that.

Neither does a Glaswegian

Beautiful sound. I’d clean it up a bit for general consumption but a Japanese native delivering a presentation with that sound would be great.

It's almost like the players know that their club is going to be relegated

I saw 12/1. I can remember it as high as 33/1.

I can’t see it myself but I can see how sone see the value in those odds.

Give the trophy to Liverpool now. No one is going to catch the legendary Slot and his men!

Not done and dusted, sport. Long way to go. The Liverpool supporters I know don’t like this kind of talk. In a good position though.

Many people were expecting City to come roaring back and give someone a hiding 2 games ago. Still not happened..

Tottenham are the most confusing team in the Premier League.

They could easily be 2nd in the Prem, but are all over the place - losing to Ipswich at home, then absolutely pantsing Manchester City at the Etihad.

I’m still not sure the Postecoglu style can ever deliver consistency - too high risk. Celtic could do that in Scotland but this is a higher level of opposition.

LMAO, I wouldn’t go through there to change planes much less spend money as a Tourist.

You can’t be serious

I dunno. China has already proved it has potential as a tourist destination.

One of the oldest civilizations on the planet.

To be honest, I’d choose Thailand, Vietnam or Bali if I was a panning to visit Asia but each to their own.

Some of the comments are amazing. I used to live/work in China. Amazing place & amazing food…

I’d agree on the food. I had some of the best food I’ve ever tasted in China. Not a great fan of the booze though.

Posted in: Trump's against climate action. But some right-wing governments are all for it See in context

The label "right-wing" that the media uses for every conservative is misleading. In reality it is todays elitist left that is pushing the authoritarian measures that used to be called "right-wing".

Oh.

Let’s have a look at what the article is talking about.

So what do you think of the conservatives in the article who see climate change as a problem?

Is the mainstream media to blame again? Elites? WEF? Wokeism? Soros? People with purple hair? Bought and paid for scientists? The establishment?

Just throwing out the names of the usual suspects that come up.

Come see the real China not the biased one presented by the BBC and NHK.

I spent quite a bit of time in China and watch BBC and used to watch a bit of NHK. I used to speak Mandarin at a basic level but I haven’t used it for years.

What do you mean by the real China?

Posted in: The 'super year' of elections has been super bad for incumbents as voters punish them in droves See in context

The problem is duopolistic systems like GOP/Dem Labor/Tory where both follow the neo-liberal consensus that has been impoverishing the middle class and transferring wealth upwards for decades

Wouldn’t argue with that.

Plenty of distractions thrown around from both sides to get people’s attention away from this.

The conservatives lost in the UK because they genuinely did screw things up there, or so I gather from my transatlantic buddies. Their loss was no surprise, nor was the margin by which they lost.

They certainly weren’t beaten by populism.

Farage’s latest populist scam ended up with 6 seats.

The elites and leadership class have simply lost touch with their own people. Hence the wave of populism happening everywhere. Welcome back democracy

Everywhere? Don’t get over excited. Maybe that overdose on the podcasts ;)

The moderate left Labour Parry led by the very dull and establishment Starmer won a massive majority in the UK this year.

Trump should stop choosing creepy weirdos.

This shows he needs to remember that his all out war on decency, standards and truth hasn’t been a complete victory over the GOP.

Two women expecting a baby? Where are they expecting it from?

I expect it will leave through the usual passage. Has nobody explained this to you?

I think you just answered your own question

I didn’t ask a question.

The farmers blocking the roads with their protest managed to stop an ambulance with its siren on. People call climate protestors all sorts for doing this. You cannot have freedom of speech and a right to protest for one set of folks and then another when its rich farmers and Jeremy Clarkson

Saw Clarkson fall to pieces when confronted by a BBC reporter on joining the protest.

He actually told the Times he bought a farm to avoid tax.

What a useless noisemaker.

Posted in: Homophobic abuse of Kerr and Mewis 'unacceptable,' Chelsea manager says See in context

Not surprising. There are a huge number of angry, repressed (closeted?) men out there on social media, hating on women sportspeople in general, let along gay women sportspeople

They got really hissy and upset at the viewing figures of the last women’s World Cup ( many consoled themselves by parroting something about the women’s team being beaten by an amateur men’s side ).

You certainly could imagine some members of that group creating sock puppet accounts and posting trash on social media.

Posted in: UK government announces ban on new coal mines See in context

Well that’s is not quite true. If 25,000 die annually, that means they died previously in years gone past. I’d rather they take the money from the richer pensioners who DO NOT need it, and give it to the poorer pensioners. So this payment is not being scrapped. So those who are poor, on pension credit will get it. The 300 pound is for pensioners over 80yoa. The other pensioners get 200 pounds.

We know they are not all minted but some are. It’s not a 0 or 100% proposition. Some are very very well off, most are ok by your figures and the 16% you mention should get more then. So let’s take it from The richest,(who can anfford it) and give it to the 16% who are on pension credit.. I think we can both agree on that. I don’t think Boris Johnson’s Parents really need £300 and a lawyer or ceo,NHS consultant really need that £300. But I know I’m not the smartest and I don’t have the answers to that. I personally know some pensioners who fly off to Vietnam, Cambodia, Spain Greece, Turkey. But do they really need the £300? I suggest the electric/gas companies reduce pensioners bills by say 300. And reduce the dividends to he shareholders? Sorry I don’t have all the answers

Very good post.

A welcome response to those who seem to get their views from Nigel Farage’s Twitter account.

So has she started thinking for herself by thinking climate change is a hoax, scamdemics, EVs a scam, 2020 election was stolen, elites, WEF, go woke go broke etc.

Just like the others who ‘think for themselves’?

The Ben Shapiro Show

The Ben Shapiro Show ( the obvious choice ) Conversations with Coleman ( brilliant ) , Lex Friedman ( legend ) , Konstantin Kisin and Francis Fosters Trigonometry, John Anderson podcast ( for us Aussies, pure class ), the Jordan B. Peterson podcast has been a journey! Douglas Murray, Candace Owens, the Daily Wire, Sam Harris, Dennis Pragers Fireside Chat, Chris Williamson Modern Wisdom, Patrick Bet Davies PBD podcast and a whole bunch more. The Russel Brands and Jimmy Dores of the world are more of a circus, can listen to them but do have my limit

Overdosing a bit there.
