Posted in: Mother gets 10 years for fatal child abuse of 6-year-old daughter See in context
Japan must be the only country in the world where you can abuse a child and also resulting in death where you do not have to do the time.
So ridiculous low sentences in Japan for such hideous crimes.

There should be no settlement with the mother as the little girl could have died.
Stupid Judge also to give just a slap on the wrist to this thug.

I have been solo dining for decades.
I remember in the early days, they would give you a table by the toilets or some crying children or a cold breeze blowing.
It used to come to a point that I would go and sit on a table of my choice.
It has changed over time and some restaurants treat you with equal dignity and decent seating.

Should be life sentence without parole for taking the life of a defenseless young child.
Continuous abuse should have been unacceptable and stopped.

I have driven a few times over this speed a few times on deserted highways unknowly with no traffic. I have a Mercedes Benz sports car and it feels the same at the speed limit or much above it. I have learnt to set my speed on highways to speed limit and not let my heavy foot get carried away. It can be dangerous.

Posted in: Australia, Cochlear support Japan program for child hearing implants See in context
Conversation is very important especially for kids.
I hope Cochlear implants help.
My hearing has really shot over the years.
My Audiologist and My Head and Neck Specialist have recommended for me to have the Cochlear implants. There are risks with the surgery and you also lose the smell nerves as they are right where the implant is put. The whole thing is very bulky and I am not too keen on them.
Cochlear implants have been around for decades and am surprised that no one has come up with a smaller and less invasive aid than the magnets of Cochlear implants.
A study is going around by a company where they inject some liquid into the ear canals and the hair starts to grow again in the canal. I am waiting for that to be available and would be a few years.

Posted in: FIFA opening probe into Argentina players' racist chants See in context
Actually, the chant was about France team being mostly African players while Argentina team is exclusively home bred and no naturalized players of other descents.
For one, you have to give Argentina for being able to win the world Cup and now the Copa America with home bred players.
secondly,
"If there's one thing we are as a country, it's a totally inclusive country. People from all over the world live in Argentina and we treat them as they should be treated."
I have been to Argentina and there is very little if any people from other countries.
I am from California USA and we have everyone from every country living here. all shades.
When I got to Argentina, all I saw was WHITE people. I was shocked as coming from California. I learnt the history and found that the early Europeans settlers killed majority of the dark skinned Natives. A very few remain now.
I got used to seeing White folks everywhere and a week into I saw a Black person. I was shocked as you rarely see anyone of color.
Hence the statement from the Aregentina Manager is not true as the country is not really inclusive.

Times have changed and maybe Le Penn party might thrive.
