In human history, this is the worst genocide ever. Shooting and bombing anyone randomly, especially targeting children. This war qualified Israel and its supporters as the worst in the history.

It is a culture that has to be changed, The law should change to give extreme and unproportioned so to say harsh penalties and should be disclosed by media so that people think twice before acting on this. When the penalties are too light and the crime is spread as a culture, it would continue. It is not easy to change the culture in any country.

I hope they catch him soon before he hurts someone else. Poor woman must be shocked. It would be difficult to recover from the psychological effect of such a horrible attack and she might be hesitant to go out whenever she wants. this type of crimes restricts person's freedom for life time.

I can't tell the difference between a Chinese and Taiwanese. They speak the same language, look the same, I am pretty sure they have common culture too. There is no real reason for China and Taiwan to have a war unless US and other countries making it an excuse to start a war. In that case, there would be a war regardless of Taiwan and China arguments.

This is not a race issue. Foreigners including myself should be tanksful for this type of implementations improving our safety together with everyone else. It is not a good idea to drive a car around without driver being really comfortable with the rules and the way of driving in Japan.

she should be tried for murder. Suffering from the pain of the insulin injection related problems must have made his existing condition bad and eventually died. It is wrong to claim that there is no relation of his dead to his prior sufferings.

There seems like a systematic torture and abuse at prisons. I think the committee being established to make foreigners life more difficult in Japan should be re-directed to stopping serious crimes happening continuously in the country's detention centers, and prisons. It would be more beneficial for the society.
Unless the human right abuse gets fixed soon, I won't allow my son to have Japanese passport. Alternative Australian passport is hugely better.

Posted in: Japan to set up team to address issues over foreign residents See in context
One website states that there are 3.04% as of December 2024. Another one states that 2.24% as of March 2025. It looks like there are not many foreigners.
I think some really terrible tourists making bad name for all foreigners. I remember the American Psychopath youtuber tourists insulting people in the trains or other places. It took long time for authorities to catch him and deport. That kind of people can create a bad image against all foreigners. I would also think that the crimes committed by the American army members in Okinawa would be the second major cause.
Life is comfortable in Japan for foreigners behaving well. In US, or other countries, a foreigner exposes regular racism regardless of how well they are.
