Posted in: Musk brings Trump's government efficiency push to Capitol Hill See in context

So Musk wants to get rid of Veteran healthcare while Biden wanted to get rid of college debt. How long will it take for people to realize he doesn't care about people? They are just stepping stones to him as he aims for a tax free life while creating an even bigger gap between the rich and the middleclass.

A wise man once said you are a lot closer to being homeless than you are to being rich yet Maga still sees Musk as their savior

And the terrorist are still not freeing the hostage, why? Do they wait for more of this? What are their goal, if any?

Can Israel prove that there are still living hostages or is nobody brave enough to ask that question?

Posted in: Dozens killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza; Amnesty calls Israel's actions 'genocide' See in context

This terrible conflict would end the first 24 hours the US administration stops shipping lethal weapons to Israel. Over $20 billions (officially) since January 2024.

Sadly I don't think so. Even without the US resources I believe they would still be on the attack in a different way. But I don't know after they destroyed the first hospital or school you would think it would be labeled as genocide much sooner or even when there were humanitarian aide casualties. War is hell and we need people to acknowledge that this is similar to a certain dictator from the past

It is genocide, they are milking the hostage thing because I doubt they would take care of hostages if everything the Israeli government said was true from about a year ago. Israeli is on a genocide rampage and they won't stop the killing unless their is interference

Posted in: Trump considers DeSantis for Pentagon with Hegseth under pressure over allegations See in context

*Sources close to the matter implied that DeSantis may not be the best choice, citing "a disturbing lack of damaging allegations" against him in recent months. "The president-elect isn't going to nominate anyone who doesn't have an entire laundromat's worth of dirty washing", said one advisor on condition of anonymity.*

It does seem like he has been trying to lay low the past few months, maybe guilt of not helping hurricane victims or something else?

both are all hat and no cattle. to be expected in a trump administration.

So if the Dems hate them, then it is a stellar pick. I’m happy.

Thats whats wrong with Maga lol. We don't like Trump because he's a threat to America, Democracy and Freedom. Y'all want someone unqualified just because Democrats dislike the person

On Tuesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said some of the reports were “disturbing,” telling CBS News that he wants to “make sure that every young woman that joins the military feels respected and welcomed.”

Women being respected and having rights? That makes the pasty dudes of Trumps America angry so that must be too woke for them as well

It just an office room with 10 staffs but it will really cool in media since it has word "Space" on it.

Just admit the fact you don't know what the space force does, no Russian/Chinese spies have that intel

Let's make French great again!

The only way to make a country great is to end hunger, poverty and have peace. Unless any of the countries ever had that we can't say anything was ever great. It's just spewing meaningless words behind false ideas when used in the way you just did

Another stupid "woke" action. If fat people are a problem just tax them. Or at least charge them in the hospitals if their body weight is directly responsible for their visit. Why should those of us who don't stuff ourselves with cake have to sponsor those who do?

You people really do call everything you don't understand woke. Is there a mental illness where people explode over the smallest of changes that don't affect them? Assuming you're not a junk-food commercial connoisseur. That is honestly a new one lol yt persons that think "eating habits" are woke lmao

Posted in: Biden's broken promise on pardoning his son Hunter raises new questions about his legacy See in context

He had no choice, the guy was ousted by his own party. Again, can’t wait until we don’t have to hear from these people ever again.

Maybe he shouldn't have lied about election results in order to try to cling to power. But wait you have thousands of excuses written up for his lies already right?

Posted in: Biden's broken promise on pardoning his son Hunter raises new questions about his legacy See in context

He did worse, made a boldface lie to the American public. Now the Dems and Biden can’t claim the moral high ground on anything. Trump will release the J6 captives and the left can’t say a word.

People who trespass, attack and try to overthrow their own government aren't captives lol nice try though it takes more practice to sugarcoat BS

Everyone knew he was going to get convicted, but all in the White House so “no pardon” and “never”, many times. Which means they were lying the whole time.

You care so much about lies yet you defend all of Trumps lies as if he pays you to do that

Still fail to see the appeal in kids comics and cartoons. It’s a funny old world isn’t it.

The ones for kids are different than the ones for adults very much like Halloween parties for adults aren't the same as the ones for kids but you know that already.

I fail to see the appeal of hunting and shooting animals just for fun. It looks quite psychotic to me that there are people who enjoy doing such violent things

Well, his word means nothing again. No presidential library for him, but now if they pursue state charges on Hunter he won’t be able to take the 5th now. Carful what you wish for. Either way, I don’t care, after January 20th that wretched family won’t be around to screw things up anymore, he’ll just be a fleeting memory.

Stop pretending like you ever cared about his "word" At least Biden isn't making up stories about a stolen election nor encouraging people to chant "Fight like hell" or "Stop the steal" He knows how to pass on the presidential torch unlike some big orange crybaby

Posted in: Japan to use AI to tackle online manga and anime piracy See in context

In the UK we only had DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokemon and a few other shows back in the late 90s/mid 2000s. And the anime that I was watching, I could only find on pirating websites. The anime community was very small when I joined it and I doubt that I would've stayed around if it wasn't for these sites that gave me access to anime.

True it was like free advertising as well since the final outcome of having more fans is purchasing more merchandise

But they didn’t that’s the thing, they had a long shadowy history of corruption, not including the lies that they told about Hunter Biden’s laptop, speaking of Biden, he just pardoned Hunter. No surprise.

If Trump can abuse his power to get away with fraud, stealing documents, rap, and starting a riot. Then I believe Biden should be able to save his son

If the DEI experiment made these companies either more profitable or workers more productive they would have kept it. It did not, it made them less profitable and their workers less productive. It was an idea that turned out to be a bad idea that failed. Time to move on.

You're only giving Musks perspective of the results of DEI as well as Boeing always had a bad reputation but they just wanted to play a blame game because Musk baby spoon fed them the words to use when it was obviously accountability of management and lack of quality, safety and reliability checks. Which speaking of, Twitter has been doing really terrible since he took charge, losing sponsors, money and millions of people but before he touched Twitter it was so much better

Trump "I don't like it! I want all FBI fired!!!"

Maga "we agree! Down with the FBI!"

People with a brain "FBI doing their job and he wants to fire them?? Suspicious and obviously trying to hide something"

Unless the FBI came up with an off the wall story their is no reason for them to be hated like that other than Trump wants them to be his personal goons only looking into other peoples backgrounds and relations

Who do you predict shooting ahead of the US in the creativity department?

Because a lot of America's advancements and creativity wasn't from only old straight white dudes. Some of the new inventions or movies and series were also made by people who were women, gay, or people of color. Nobody was doing no check box people were just expressing themselves in ways they related to. Eventually we get tired of seeing the same old movie ideas or the same old actors. The new Minecraft movie which is geared towards kids has Jack Black as the main character, he is a little too old to be in a movie like that

No need to do such things when that is not where the action is.

We'll see how badly Trump screws over the states and it's relationship with other countries and how many years it takes to fix the damage he has done with his second term, I haven't forgotten any of the things he has done and how many lies he has told

Please do tell us how you are handling the religious diversity in your own country.

I'm American living in Japan so I understand I don't have the same opportunities as someone who is born in Japan. The non-existent American dream glazes how things look on the surface but people of color as well as women don't get the rights we are normally supposed to be at least entitled to but. If your question was more so about religion I don't think I know how to answer that other than I don't judge people based on what they believe in, I used to be military so I was used to working with people who believed in different things, it's immature to think one religion is better than the other in my honest opinion

The military has been the main target of anti-woke crusaders in the U.S. Congress, who argue that racial justice education and an obsession with climate change have made the troops go soft and driven a recruitment slump.

Very much like the people who attempt to use the word "woke" in this day in age just attempt to combine a lot of unrelated things together seeing how they lack the intelligence to differentiate between different things they don't understand. Honestly it isn't worth losing braincells debating with people who are jealous of oppressed people. Snowflakes that are too soft to understand struggle honestly aren't worth wasting any time
