I've seen too many truck drivers small and big watching tv on their phones because the standard trucks don't have them. Not sure if that was the cause of this accident, but I see it all the time, especially the commercial trucks.

I was always a bit confused the biological father after a divorce cuts all ties with their kids here in Japan. No guarantee the biological father was any better. I'm sure the kid is already tramautized, he should get some psychological help so he doesn't become like them as an adult. Just a sad situation all away around.

It's strange how family members of the deceased aren't seen on T.V. here in Japan. In the U.S. family members would be pressuring the rescue team to try to do more and would be on every media outlet as possible. I wonder if kids were involved the rescue team would have taken more risks to save lives. Just a thought. Regardless, RIP.

I noticed a lot of the truck drivers smoking and checking there smart phones on the road at the same time. Not saying this is what happened, but worries me when driving.

I think there is more to this story. I dealt with stubborn old men and with little obnoxious juveniles in Japan.

what I can't understand is why in Japan there are 4 officers in one patrol car. I would think there are more productive ways of using manpower?
