My thoughts and prayers.

I am heartened at all the majority positive comments from people online. A far, far cry from how it was after the 3/11 quake and tsunami.

How many more innocent people must be seriously hurt and killed by old drivers before serious action is taken? Anyone above 62 should have mandatory annual health and vision screenings if they want to continue to drive. After 70 no one should be allowed to drive.

Sigh, no coincidence these kinds of random crimes have been reported with increasing frequency here the past few years.

Good, dissolve and ban all such cults.

It's interesting that the world media doesn't seem to focus much on how and why Hamas even came to such power in the Gaza. It was none other than Netanyahu who pitted Hamas against Abbas and the PLO because he did not want Palestinian independence. And Netanyahu horribly miscalculated as Hamas was able to overcome the PLO in influence and power among Palestinians.

Yeah, about that outdated notion of Japan being completely 'safe' and free of random crime....

Remember that these are a people that ignore its own countries absolutely dismal record on environmental issues. Their very own government that pollutes its own waterways, overfishes stocks around the world.

The anti-Japan crowd online have no shame or decency in their misinformation campaign. A lot of them make outrageous claims not backed by any real science. How ironic it is those that are loudest to criticize others of whitewashing history are the biggest such offenders.

The fish from Fukushima waters is a million times safer than anything you can eat off the coast of Hong Kong or any inland rivers throughout China. This hysteria from China and South Korea over Fukushima waters is the most dumbest thing ever, considering both release way more tritium from their power plants in a year compared to what Fukushima will be doing in a decade. So utterly stupid.

Yawn, yet another tired journalistic hit piece on Japan that has to bring up irrelevant issues about past wartime actions to frame the current Fukushima water release nonsense.

It happens worldwide, not just Japan. No amount of public information campaigns will prevent these kinds of deaths.

Spoken like a true CCP mouthpiece. The ALPS at Fukushima filters out 62 other radionuclides outside of tritium. This is the internet, and people need to understand that anything can be confirmed or debunked with a few minutes of simple online searching. Just stating opinions without any basis in fact doesn't cut it.

In 2018, the Fuqing nuclear power plant in China released 52 trillion bq of tritium discharge into the oceans, which is THREE times the amount of estimated tritium discharge being released from Fukushima over a decade.

China's fishing fleet has so depleted its own coastal waters that it has enaged in a worldwide operation of fishing in other nation's territories. Even the famed Galagapos Islands near Ecuador is not safe from Chinese fishing patrols. The Yangtze river is one of the world's largest contributors of plastic waste into the oceans. The rivers throughout China are so polluted that many citizens do not even have safe drinking water. The list goes on and on, yet Chinese officials and their brainwashed citizens want to grandstand about how Japan is destroying the world's oceans?

So ridiculous as always, these people will immediately flip out the protest signs and gather en masse outside anytime they feel slighted by Japan. What a petty, insecure bunch.

The beginning of the end, but what a glorious few seasons it has been.

The ignorance of the anti Japan crowd never fails to impress. Two countries who release wastewater with double the amount of tritium per year than what is being released at Fukushima, crying about destruction of the world's oceans and food supplies.

And the duplicitous SK government in fact did not fully endorse this plan. Last month they did agree that it was safe, but as expected the cowardly government is now trying to have it both ways by saying they believe it is safe but they don't necessarily agree with it.

Just a question. Would you go swimming and diving near the Fukushima waste water dumping site? Or eating the freshly catch fish near there?

In response to the release, China banned seafood from Japan. Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Shu Jueting called the discharge “extremely selfish and irresponsible” and said it would "cause damage and harm to the global marine environment that cannot be predicted.”

This has to be the most ludicrous thing ever said. A nation that is notorious for polluting the environment with industrial waste and for illegal fishing methods that destroy the ecosystems, among others. And releasing more tritium into their waters per year.

Of course both China and South Korea never let any opportunity to demonize Japan go by, so this was not unexpected. Both petty countries cannot stand to see people worldwide embrace Japanese culture so they'll stoop to any lows.

It's ridiculous reading all the hysterical anti-Japanese comments on various websites. China, while grandstanding about the health of the world's oceans, abuses the oceans like no other nations with their illegal fishing and things like illegal shark finning.

Never let any opportunity to bash Japan slide by these opportunists.

Chinese power plants released in one year more tritium containing water from their power plants than what is being released gradually over 10 years by the Fukushima plant. All this outrage and grandstanding is nothing but manufactured outrage to further anti-Japan hysteria.

Fukushima waste water, being gradually released over 10 years, still contains less tritium than wastewater from Chinese and South Korean power plant waste water combined.

She has a history of doing outrageous things for publicity. She was kicked off a flight in the U.S. last year for wearing inappropriate clothing. I'm not saying this was the case here, but there sure seems to be a pattern here.

This summit is a joke. The usual nonsense about a new era of cooperation between Japan and South Korea. The same old nonsense about comfort women. Always the Japanese government's fault, even though past agreements and compensations were derailed by the South government themselves (much of the money meant to go towards comfort women was suspiciously unaccounted for. No matter what the Japanese government does, it will forever be invalidated by the anti-japanese nationalists.
