But there is another possible option. Can the biological father be contacted?

It shouldn't be difficult at all, but biological fathers are always completely absent from these horror stories.

So I am left to assume the biological father has no contact.

I think that's a safe assumption.

I hope the police or social services consider this option first.

They should but they won't.

iknowallToday  11:06 am JST.

What's the alternative plan? Rebuild Gaza and let the Arabs who are responsible for attacking and massacring Israelis live there?

Most of the people you want to expel from the territory are not responsible for any such thing. The Israeli settlers in Gaza, on the other hand, are there illegally and all appear to be genocidal ultranationalist psychopaths backed up by a US-funded military that has its roots as a terrorist organisation.

Your "solution" is whatever Donald Trump says. If he said tomorrow that he wanted to expel all the Jews from Israel you'd be acclaiming that as a fantastic idea too.

The last world leader who was in favour of forced expulsion of a people was Stalin.

We might heat some odd and disturbing things if anyone asked Trump what he thought of Stalin.

Sure, so then it would be a fantastic idea to take it over, invest in it and deal with it

And get the same kind of welcome the French Resistance gave the Germans in France during WW2. You must be really looking forward to taking your holidays there when it's a US colony.

I wonder if Trump is coming out with all this stuff about Panama, Canada, Greenland and now Gaza to detract attention from how he seems to be doing nothing about jobs, wages, education, healthcare, taxes or living costs.

Smart heads in the know are saying that the real purpose of this unrealistic proposal is to push regional players - Saudi, Egypt & co into coming up with an alternative proposal for a long term solution / plan for Gaza.

Then the Trump fans taking it at face value as a bona fide great idea in and of itself can't be very smart.

And sadly it's real for millions of Palestinians.

If I were Palestinian...

But you're not.

I'd take a Gaza that resembles the Riviera...

Never going to happen.

Perhaps the Israelies can teach them how to turn dirt into rich soil and verdant land with their advance farming techinques...

They won't.

and show them what a democracy looks like.

Run by crooks and ultranationalist religious extremists.

Oh right - sending in the troops to evict the Palestinians so Trump can fill the place up with casinos, resort hotels and golf courses is no different at all.

I wonder what would have happened if an aide had slipped a note to Netanyahu: "the man over at that podium pardoned insurrectionists including at least one who wore a hoodie emblazoned with the words "Camp Auschwitz" and others who have ties to a group who use slogans such as "6 million wasn't enough "

I wouldn't be too surprised if Netanyahu knew but didn't care.

The occupying inhabitants will be able to return to their ancestral lands and assimilate with the other Arabs, so a win-win.

Why don't you return to your ancestral lands?

bass4funkToday  08:38 am JST

They wouldn’t like it because the outcome for them wouldn’t be good,

Why? I don't think "them" just refers to the 'bad guys' or whatever you want to call them.

not that I wouldn’t mind…

Why not, if it's bad for people who haven't committed any crimes or caused any harm to anyone?

As for an anti Israel poster having an issue with the term 'Jewish westerners' - this refers to the Jewish populations of countries like the US, UK and Australia...

I know. The Israelis in the settlements don't behave anything like them at all. They're more like the terrorists who bombed hotels and murdered British military personnel during the Palestinian Mandate.

KhuniriJan. 31  11:57 am JST

As Japanese citizens, my family members and I greatly admire Aiko-sama and hope that one day she is the empress. But the matter is for the Japanese people to decide.

Then you need to elect a government that will actually do what the people want.

Agent_NeoJan. 31  08:33 pm JST

Also, from the perspective of gender equality, even if a woman can become an empress, a man cannot enter the imperial family.

This should be called inequality.

They can't become head of the family, but why should they?

The UN and other self-proclaimed feminists are trying to break the bloodline of the Japanese imperial family by creating a female emperor and further creating a female emperor.

They're not "trying" to do anything.

This is also a serious interference in domestic affairs.

How? It's not actually going to affect anyone's lives much one way or the other, is it?

So you do actually mean the young women too, then?

If they were attending said parties, then yes. If they were attending any other sort of event where people were taking advantage of them, then probably no. Pretty sure the article said "party" tho. I mean, what girl in her right mind would willingly go somewhere that she knew others had been taken advantage of and that she would also be abused somehow.

Have you considered the possibility that they were employees who had little choice but to attend.

Suggesting that maligns the women in the entertainment industry, imo.

Who ever suggested it?

Japan should most certainly change its policy.

So the UN is basically right?

But it's not the UN's place to stick their noses into a domestic issue of a sovereign country.

I can't blame Japan for not wanting to put in so much money just to be insulted and treated poorly.

So if Japan puts in the money and the panel sticks its nose into the affairs of other sovereign countries that's okay? That does seem to be the panel's purpose, as the Japanese government presumably knew when they were helping to fund it.
