Iran responded to Trump via Oman and Iran basically told Trump to stick it. Trump wants Iran totally disarmed but we all know what happened to Saddam and Iraq, and that Saddam had nothing the US used as a pretext for war which is even admitted by the Pentagon now. So STICK IT it is, we'll have to see what happens now.

The only people Trump is looking out for is himself, Elon and the rest of his billionaire cronies.

They definitely have a point, and are expressing disgust for Israel's wipeout of Gaza. However, I don't think it is wise to attack a key shipping route repeatedly the way they have even if they do have a point, because it is impossible to know what ship is what and they will inevitably strike innocent targets. Plus, the Red Sea is NOT Israel. It is very unwise to attack this way, what can they expect as a result?

What Israel is doing is so many thousands of times more serious and horrific than attacks with weak weapons on ships. There's no doubt Israel is the problem so it is understandable why Yemen is at least trying to strike back somehow but the problem is that they are striking back at a limitlessly powerful monster in a very indirect way. It simply won't work.

Shut down Bushehr IMMEDIATELY and take the core out IMMEDIATELY and get it off site or at least to a location where if there is a hit on the facility, Iran does not end up with Chernobyl 4X. Lights out. Better that than a catastrope.

Kiss the centrifuges goodbye, they are pathetic trash anyway and get the nuclear materials to a location, you know, like YOUR DEEPEST MINE and hide them there IMMEDIATELY so they don't end up spewed all the way to the Lut. Forget procedure, you have a national emergency on your hands, and it is called: NOT DIGGING A HOLE when you had all the time in the world to do things right. Fordo is TOAST. If anyone wondered why Norad moved their main ops out of Cheyenne mountain, it's because the real bunker busters would bust that mountain.

The bottom line:

Iran needs to kiss it's nuclear projects away, at least for a time. All those materials need to be put in a mine that has tunnels MILES underground so that if they do get struck, Iran won't be a toxic wasteland.

Posted in: U.S. confirms direct talks with Hamas as Israel warns it is not done in Gaza See in context

Trump needs to WAKE UP.

Hamas never took hostages without Israeli approval and funding, plus a few Mossad agents, the Israeli black op REALLY WORKED.

Israel creates the problem, stirs the pot, and gets served up FREE BOMBS. If Trump is this ignorant, Israel is going to take the terror ruse far beyond the bank.

If Israel can play Trump for a su**** that much, they will play him all the way to a wipeout of Iran and the rest of the middle east. This is actually a serious problem.

Of course this Wikipedia about Israeli support for Hamas is scheduled for deletion, because it says the truth. At least Wikipedia did not simply kill it outright.

Posted in: Japan's trade minister arranging U.S. trip to seek tariff exemptions See in context

A tariff is a tax imposed on imported goods, typically collected by customs authorities at the point of entry. While the tariff is paid directly by the importer bringing goods into the country, its financial burden often gets passed down the supply chain. This can result in higher prices for wholesalers, retailers and, ultimately, consumers.

Posted in: Delta plane flips on landing at Toronto airport, injuring 18 See in context

It is what it looks like, an upside down Delta jet on the runway in Toronto. How in the heck did that happen? It's still in one piece!!!

The official story: The plane had a failure of the flaps. It therefore had to land at a high speed. Just before touching down it tilted hard right and ripped the right wing off. Then, the lift from the left wing caused it to roll upside down on the runway.

Posted in: Vance attack on Europe overshadows Ukraine talks at security conference See in context

JD Vance TORCHED European leaders for criminalizing free speech.

European leaders were expecting a softball discussion about Ukraine. Instead, Vance roasted them:

"Europe faces many challenges, but the crisis this continent faces right now, the crisis I believe we all face together, is one of our own making. If you're running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you, nor, for that matter, is there anything that you can do for the American people who elected me and elected President Trump."

European leaders freaked out over it, saying it was totally inappropriate and unacceptable, but the people of Europe LOVED IT. So much for that drone strike, he did not care about Ukraine AT ALL. Obviously the drone strike on Chernobyl was to get Vance to go along with Ukraine while with European leaders. FAIL.

DOGE is now auditing the IRS.

President Donald Trump on Thursday threw his support behind the Department of Government Efficiency investigation into alleged fraud and waste at the Internal Revenue Service.

Trump has long railed against the IRS, repeatedly claiming on the 2024 campaign trail that the office improperly targets conservatives for political reasons. After entering office in January, the president proposed closing down the IRS and replacing it with a new External Revenue Office. The president and his allies claim that revenue coming in from new Trump-era tariffs would sufficiently offset the loss of federal income taxes.

In the short run, financial markets could experience sharp swings. Equity markets might drop on fears of a trade war.

Global supply chains - already complex and interlinked - would face uncertainty and disruption, potentially contributing to higher inflation.

American importers and consumers would bear significantly higher costs on everyday goods.

Many multinational corporations would see plummeting revenues if trade relations collapse.

U.S. consumers would likely see higher prices on imported goods - everything from electronics to household items.

Sectors like agriculture, energy, and manufacturing could face declines in profitability and potential layoffs if retaliatory measures shut them out of key markets.

PAT stands for Priority Air Transport, which is reserved for senior military and VIP personnel only. The Helicopter was PAT-25. That means it was a VIP chopper, and stories about it carrying 3 ordinary soldiers on a training mission have to be BS

Flight tracker information identified the helicopter as “PAT25,” the typical call sign for helicopters used for “priority air transport” missions.

Well, Elon can't really complain if he's the head of DOGE and I don't think it matters anyway, Elon has already successfully made the Tesla plug the standard for all EV's and new charging stations are going to be automatic now because the balance has been tipped in favor of them, and Musk can afford them.

There has to be a reason why Biden pardoned Fauci and this is probably it, PROBLEM: You can't pardon unless the specifics are given, so the pardon might be irrelevant.

75 percent of illegal workers did not show up for work in the San Joaquin valley today. Some people are saying it is winter time so it does not matter. It does matter, because an enormous pile of things - lettuce, carrots, grapes, spinach, brocolli, celery, oranges, lemons, are harvested at this time, it is never "winter" there. So there is something to the story and there might be shortages while the food rots.

Sympathy? NONE FOR THIS, the farmers set themselves up for this, My sympathy for the farmers is over the Delta smelt BS which Trump has already shut down. You can no longer cut off water to farmers over a fake fish issue, the "Delta smelt" are an invasive species anyway. So the farmers are going to have to accept a bit of give and take here.

Posted in: Nippon Steel stands firm on U.S. Steel takeover and denies risks cited by Biden See in context

I hope the lawsuit succeeds. It’s obvious that neither national security nor economic logic had anything to do with Biden blocking the deal. His motivation was to repay political favours, pure and simple.

Biden is hanging onto the sentimental notion that America is a great commercial power able to sustain an enterprise that produces tangible products. Competent foreign management and stable foreign investment can save domestic steel production and the jobs of American workers. Crony American CEOs and speculative American investment cannot.

Posted in: Biden blocks Nippon Steel's proposed deal to acquire U.S. Steel See in context

When we hear the name "US Steel" we think enormous American industrial powerhouse, and yet that's all fantasy. Where once 340,000 people worked for US Steel, now there is a measly 20,000. Sorry but a company with only 20,000 employees can't be a "critical industry" for America's economy, simply due to the fact that it employs so few people, relatively speaking. On an emotional level, I can understand why people don't like the idea of a Japanese company taking over a historic American establishment like US Steel, but at the end of the day there was no truly valid reason for intervening to stop this sale other than some union people protesting against the sale. At first I was against the sale - Japan, after all, is one of the most protectionist countries on the planet when it comes to selling assets to foreign companies - but once I realized that US Steel is now a greatly diminished company from what it once was, I can't see any valid rational reason for stopping the Japanese from making the purchase. I'm not sure what motivated Biden, at the 11th hour of his presidency, from stepping into this matter. Then again I haven't been able to make sense of anything Biden says or does for well over a year now.
