According to my understanding, the driver will be in all kinds of trouble, since here hitting anybody, even if they are lying right in front of your moving car is treated as a criminal offense.
This stupid law needs to be changed.

Agree about lack of meaningful markings on the roads. I'd add terrible road design, especially of major intersections. One particular massive intersection in Gunma is atrocious. A jumbled mess which makes navigation nearly impossible. Used several of my nine lives at that intersection alone, I swear.

If i remember correctly, MSG is the flavour umami derived from traditional broth of (konbu) seaweed. Nothing wrong with it.
So all you progressives who use the word umami, are actually referring to monosodium glutamate (MSG).
And no it doesn't affect the brain at all you wont get headaches or chest pain. That's been disproven long ago, but the stigma still persists among these same probably vegan 'progressives'.
Artificial laboratory created chemical flavours and colour are some of the real enemies. Along with palm oil. And cocoichi curry uses many in abundance.

He's actually right. The same goes for Nagano. Then you got up to the Nihonkai and you'll find similarly strong women there too. Pretty harsh winters up there so, yeah. I actually don't find it off-putting myself though. But different strokes for different folks.

And correct me if I am wrong, but just zooming in on that low resolution photo, it seems like it's just a plastic bag with some gels etc in it that you place over the toilet bowl and do your business in. And there are instructions on it too.
The pertinent issues are educating people that these things exisit, the cost, where to store them, and finally how to get them, since now people will start panic buying.

Never seen one, but surely their must be instructions printed on the (I am assuming) plastic wrapper? If not, print some.
And are they really THAT complicated? No need for complete workshops and demonstrations by recent police graduates going around schools.

Back in the day we were unsupervised all day, outdoors for literally hours on end. We walked to school alone from age 5 for 3-4 km each way and got into all kinds of trouble and adventures. But guess what? We survived. We thrived. I had my first job as a paperboy by 9 and was cooking dinner for the family by 10.
Not like kids these days. So many walk around with masks, suffer from all kinds of allergies, and just generally look weak. They get traumatised over the slightest little thing. Everything is kowai. They grow up unable to fend for themselves or become independent. No wonder so many are turning into hikikomori.

0ver the years I have dropped many a phone into baths, or split water all over them, killing them. And a mate even killed his laptop with coffee. And this was before they were as 'waterproof' as they are today.
Each time a simple fix: turn off immediately, if not already no power. Next put into oven at 40-50oC and bake the thing for around 3-4 hours. and repeat for another couple. Each time they all came back for life and two of them are still going today. Both Huawei, for the record.
But phones in general these days should be way more able to withstand a few minutes or more immersed completely in water.
And as this article says: rice doesn't work (duh).

Not sure they are hooligans, man. Just a bunch of young boys having a bit of fun. The cops should have closed them down and given them a stern warning, since it was in the middle of Tokyo on a public street. Then that should have been that. But no.
Trust the media to blow it up out of proportion. What about covering the protests demanding abolition of the consumption tax, or calls for budgetary reform and other more pressing societal issues?
