If you just read the news without thinking for yourself these days then you don't deserve any sympathy. The truth really is out there and if you think that mainstream media are giving it to you, least of all are on your side. Boy do I feel bad for you.

I feel somewhat sad for anyone trying to get into university these days. You have a long and hard road ahead filled with nothing but ego, lies, stress, crowd pleasing, fraud and years of wasted time that you could have spent earning a good salary. Even if you graduate as fast as humanly possible, a tradesman or even a programmer will have made close to a quarter of a million before tax. You on the other hand will likely have a mountain of student debt to start off with as a handicap. In a world of rising costs and AI the absolute worst thing you can do is go to university. It takes less than half a year of dedicated effort to hone a skill well enough to get good gainful employment and create a career. I cannot understand why anyone would want to sit in a toxic classroom environment in this day and age and go through an entirely outdated cirriculum. Social media proved years ago that the real intelligent people didn't go to university. Every time I travel to a new country, the other people I talk to having fun aren't uni graduates...

A lot of so called "experts" here in the comments. Ultimately this is not even a drop in the ocean. Today in Australia some bricks which aren't even sacred were "vandalised" le gasp.
Also today more Palestinians were indiscriminately killed by a barbarian who evades justice and enacts his own personal holocaust. I doubt this comment will last for long. Sadly their censorship has made its way even here, hence how this tripe article makes headlines here. Yet nothing of the daily genocide does.

Japan is being ruined by tourism
This country's failing economy is still barely standing thanks wholly tourism. If it wasn't for the massive rubber band of tourism slowing a complete free fall in the yen, we'd be paying twice as much for food, petrol, you name it.
Every Japanese company has posted a loss in the last two years from Nissan to Sony. Stagnation has well and truly caught up here and at some point the 0.9 birth rate was going to catch up to us. Complain all you want, I couldn't care less to see a couple of sacred rocks suffer vs. our economy.

This clown literally said he would uphold the will of the people. Now he cowers at home like a criminal, answering summons with silence. Here's hoping SK politics can stop being a joke this year.

The amount of snow that fell in the last few days was crazy. Police have been out in full-force checking if people have Winter tyres. I was sliding all over the Shikoku Islands last week. Condolences to the man's family, but as another user said please always travel in groups and take due care. Fresh snow is the most dangerous.

Five facts EV manufacturers and supporters don't want you to know:
Most cars have mandatory subscription fees to use even basic features.
The mileage is less than half as good as petroleum vehicles.
The parts and maintenance are 4-5x more expensive.
You can only use "authorised" parts in EVs and often only get them serviced by "authorised" dealers.
They can be (and are) tracked and controlled at will and can be shut off without your consent. As another user said. They are the next mandatory step in the ongoing class war and control of movement.
