I live in Christchurch. This was the second of two major quakes. As fate would direct I was not in Christchurch
for the two "bigones". There was over three thousand after- shocks, I was there for these ones.
I was in Japan for two large quakes. Both six-plus.
Recovery has been slow but steady.
