Time for naming and shaming, heads to roll in the saw dust, lives are for living, no wonder some of these children end up scarred for life.

Any wonder the scourge of depopulation haunts Japan

To many ifs, buts, wrinkles, for such an early investment.

Trump trade tariff policies with Japan are one wrinkle, another is the undecided on-going negotiations with the government of China/EU, which could collapse with global repercussions.

Then, the what ifs?

It is impossible to predict future US political environment/leadership beyond Trump presidency.

The Japanese government/Nippon steel must consider a suitable escape route.

This whole Nippon Steel investment in U.S. Steel reeks to high heaven, “national security agreement” terms?

Another what if, is a failure for the Japanese government Trump administration to reach equitable tariff trade terms.

Stall, wait to see if the global trade clouds clear.

The toxic Biden/Harris/democrat cynical abuse of open borders, race to the bottom, blind eye use of undocumented illegal immigration, instead of supporting living wages.

God, the utter sinking democrat bare faced hypocrisy, that openly encouraged such exploitation

Time for change, set out a clear immigration policy, round up reassess, deport the criminal risk, start again from scratch.

How the democratic global system trades has to be subject to on-going reform restructure change.

To reflect an absolute trusted agreed treaty rules based stable foundation.

Donald Trump so called "tariff tyranny" has exposed the failure to address the systematic flaws, the race to the bottom, the price gouging, the greed of corporatization.

Management structure that promotes a form of globalization that exploits child labour, that refuses to pay living wages.

It is time for a complete reset.

Both the Government of China, the EU open abuse of non-tariff trade barriers, to condemn their economies to a near total exposure to a dependence on US export is proof enough.

UK reliance on US export now with a 10% tariff wall, has seen a detrimental downward effect to finance minister Rachel Reeves prioritised spending commitments.

Fighto!

These two paragraphs from the Guardian link above, are the most poignant.

If the real block on the honour was that Posh and Becks had thrones made of gold at their wedding in 1999, which apparently annoyed Prince Philip so much that he declined to sit on a throne at the subsequent Jubilee, well, it was surely time that everyone with a throne of any kind just got over themselves.

Yet at the same time, it is tragic to want an honour in the first place, given that it pretends access to the nobility yet is completely ersatz; a fake VIP room where the champagne is fizzy apple juice and the really important people are in a different building. The culture of class deference is sustained on ideas that cannot be said out loud or even directly beheld, because they are too stupid

As the Beckhams finally get what they’ve apparently always wanted, what does it say about the institutions that put so much energy into blocking them? And what does it say about the rest of us?

Zoe Williams column opinion hits the bullseye, Beckham self worth never needed the recognition of a so ludicrously dysfunctional honours system, and the fact he believes so, is saddening.

I am referring to Beckhams insatiable need to be accepted regarded as an equal.

By an elitist aristocracy that privately holds him in nothing other than contempt

Jimizo,

Beckham quite rightfully deserves recognition for his sporting prowess, achievements.

I question the use of the outdated premise of Great British dysfunctional honours system,

Why he believes desires such recognition, in a pubic display of entitled self worth. is utterly bewildering.

Jimizo, he is.

What is disheartening is his need to wollow, desire for a brand of snobbery, that has never ever been associated with a working class back ground

British honours system rooted a thankfully long gone empire unfit for purpose.

An illusion, delusion that is not remotely reflective of a modern age.

The lack of transparency, not meritocratic, the ability for the cynical use of social media to lobby over-representation, while the silence of genuine community heroes’ heroines are overlooked.

Beckham is a masterclass in such an example.

There is no humiliation, any means or method of toadying, obsequious servitude, fawning flattery, ingratiation, David Beckham is not prepared to endue for his knighthood.

The excruciating toe-curling creepy-crawly self-depravation is astonishingly self-evidence.

The above photo is enough to cause most less entitled, excruciatingly embarrassment

Posted in: Japan to ban reselling of rice as cheap stockpiles hit shelves See in context

This faltering, hapless LDP governments end game?

A genuine aim to stabilize, reduce, level the retail price for the hard-pressed J consumer?

Or a political necessity, a cyclically orchestrated means, to soften ruling once dedicated, now struggling LDP voter base before a Upper house summer election?

Take your pick.

Farm minister Shinjiro Koizumi said the rice stockpiles are at "risk of resale because they are sold at cheaper prices."

"It is necessary to develop an environment to deliver stockpiled rice to as many people as possible,"

Shinjiro Koizumi has created a political form of economic self-flagellation, a monetary fiscal methodology for whipping oneself.

Shinjiro Koizumi should have anticipated every eventuality, the foolish notion that attempting to flood control rice market, with stockpiled rice, reserves that have been set aside for emergencies such as disasters or crop failures.

To deplete essential rice reserves, for a short term foolish inept assumption/act/belief, such an action will secure LDP ruling government

From my local Ino town Kochi supermarkets, have had little to no effect on retail prices of the named brands is preposterously politically self-deprecating.

Posted in: Japan upper house election set for July 20: report See in context

The ruling coalition of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito were roundly defeated in the lower house elections last October from Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba ill-fated foolish decision to call a snap election.

No election is a given, never has been, never will be, only a fool would think insist so.

The feel-good factor has long gone, it is noticeable from the cost-of-living chaos, price inflation on the shelves of supermarkets. Bags of 5kg rice 4500 yen.

More pain could be yet to come with Trumps tariffs a constant threat.

The mismanagement of political funds, the ever pong stink of ruling LDP government political corruption.

Japan political leadership whether ruling government of opposition is incompetent weak. It will be interesting to view the election vote numbers, especially turnout

When I applied, the assembled officialdom categorically stated I not be permitted to hold dual citizenship.

I had to renounce my British nationality upon becoming a Japanese citizen.

There were other requirements the minimum of five years' continuous residence in Japan, 20 years old or over, show proof of good moral character conduct, a financial audit to prove I could fully support myself.

One area a blind eye was turned at the time, the need to demonstrate sufficient Japanese language proficiency, My Japanese was really not proficient.

I also had to agree to abide by the Japanese Peace Constitution.

Hope this answers your question…

The ultimate litmus test..... has the price stabilized, effectively reduced to an affordable level in your local supermarket.

I am referring to the headline brands?

In Kochi, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin.

Japan's farm minister Shinjiro Koizumi, oh yes, the housewives favourite pin up on the fridge door.

My mother thinks he can change water into wine, heal the sic , cure the blind.

His Father, former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, is equally hapless opaque on his record of reforms.

I can whiff the stench of political nepotism wafting in….

A telegenic lawmaker who has represented his father's former seat since 2009.

Japan is crying out for reform, its economy, its employment law, the scrouge of depopulation, the costs on education, child care, the awaiting dangers of provision for old age care.

I have never read a single policy statement from, Shinjiro Koizumi, just the irritating parroting his father’s rhetoric.

Disregard for political orthodoxy was a key tenet of his father Junichiro Koizumi's media-savvy strategy. His penchant for punchy slogans helped him win the 2001 LDP presidential race on a pledge to "break" the party's old power structures.

Junichiro Koizumi never instigated a single noticeable economic, industrial reform policy, as any other past present future LDP prime minster.

Shinjiro Koizumi?

Like father like son.

Shinjiro Koizumi will be no match for the slippery ruthlessness handed down from Trump or Vance oval office.

The size of Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, explained in 5 charts

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/the-size-of-donald-trumps-2024-election-victory-explained-in-5-charts

Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular vote; in fact, Trump this year became only the second Republican to win the popular vote since 1988.

Wayne Steger, a DePaul University political scientist, said the election delivered mixed signals.

“Inflation, immigration, some evidence of backlash against Democrats on identity politics, crime, education, and a public mood moving in a conservative direction all suggested a Republican win,”

Some of the Trump victories were close, however the 5th November vote was unequivocal

The deomcrats have learnt nothing.

Close to 1.5 billion spent on the very definition of democrats failure in office.

I wonder if Princesses Kako is destined for the same, some would consider/regard rejection ostracized for the dedication, the years of duty as bestowed on Princess Mako, the niece of Emperor Naruhito, now Mrs. Kei Komuro?

Which prompts your very pertinent point/question.

Mr and Mrs Kei Komuro has welcomed their first child.

Princess Mako married for love, will Fumihito, Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko, Mako's parents reportedly delighted at the news, their first grandchild, be contemplating if the child nationality be ultimately either Japanese or American?

There is a huge gulf between political ideology of the democrat opposition, and democratically elected government.

Both Karen Bass Mayor of Los Angeles, Gavin Newsom Governor of California openly provoke encourage looting, firebombing, the setting of booby traps, that necessitates the deployment of now 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines.

Bass Newsom support of undocumented criminal illegal immigration has produced the most extreme violence amounting to insurrection civil war onto the streets of LA.

The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested over 385 people, more than 200 people breaching a curfew, imposed Tuesday night.

Criminal migrants supported by violent anti-ICE rioters hurling Molotov cocktails at ICE, Law enforcement, National Guard, Homeland Security.

Yet morally repugnant democrat senators, congressman/women refuse to support the deportation of estimated to be 1 million undocumented illegal immigrants in LA.

Instead call for nationwide anarchy chaos

Calling Donald trump elected government authoritarian, could you ever imagine rioting of this nature in China, the tanks would have slaughtered every last rioter.
